Join us as we welcome Ms. Gretel to the Mokena Library! Ms. Gretel will be doing three music classes now on MONDAY mornings each month. This new music class is called "Ms. Gretel Sings!" and includes shakers, dancing, singing and bubbles! 

There will be three classes each Monday Ms. Gretel Sings! is here every month: 

Class #1 9:30am - 10:00am 

Class #2 10:00am - 10:30am 

Class #3 10:30am - 11:00am

Registration is required. 

Please register each child's name only. 

Children ages 0 - 5 years old. 

Each class is limited to 15 children. A parent or guardian must be present with the child during the whole class. No exceptions. 

Each class is the same program. Please register for only one class each Monday.

Priority registration is available exclusively to Mokena library cardholders ensuring that Mokena library cardholders receive the first opportunity to explore and participate in our limited room programs. This is a new procedure for our high demand programs. Non-Mokena Community Public Library District Holders will be placed on a pending wait list until 72 hours prior to the program. If there are openings at that time the wait list will be transferred to the registered list in the order they were added to the wait list.

Copies of the book will be available at the main Customer Service desk for the book discussion; please pick yours up and read the book before the meeting date. Join us as we start a new book club for 3rd-5th grade at Mokena Library!

We will provide each child with a snack and drink during this fun after school program. If your child has any food allergies, please provide that information into the text box while registering for the program. We want to accommodate everyone and will have a healthy alternative snack for them.

Join our Children's Librarians for our fun Finger Painting program here at the Mokena Library. Come prepared to get messy and be creative! Each Finger Painting, we will have a new theme to guide our painting time together. We will provide all of the painting materials and a disposable smock for each child. Each week we will create an arts and crafts project, exploring different sensory techniques, like finger painting, water colors, shaving cream, play dough, salt painting, marble painting, etc.

Please arrive on time for the program. Space is limited so registration is suggested for all programs, regular or limited, unless otherwise noted. Go to our website, call the library at 708-479-9663 or visit the Customer Service Desk to register. If you are registered for a program that you cannot attend, please call at least 24 hours in advance to cancel. You may cancel through your confirmation email, email the     library at programs@mokenalibrary.org or call 708-479-9663. Given the popularity of our limited programs, patrons, who do not cancel their registration 24 hours prior to the event will be considered “No Shows”. If a patron is considered a “No Show” for three limited programs then he, she, or they may be unable to register for future events and will instead be placed on the waitlist.

A limited program is a program that has limited space or limited supplies available.
