Join Ms. Gina Marie Slager for a special Children's Singsong and Yoga program on Monday mornings from 10:00am - 10:30am. 

Gina Marie's Singsong and Yoga is an interactive program. Gina has a musical CD out called "The Blue Alligator." She uses the songs from her CD to promote positive thinking, manage emotions, relax, empower with her positive messages and songs, gain greater self confidence, self awareness and self love. Emotional intelligence is key to planting seeds of empowerment! We will play games, sing, drum, practice yoga, meditation and deep relaxation! 

This program is now located in the Program Room.

Chair yoga is โ€œYoga for EveryBodyโ€. If you have trouble getting down to the mat, sit at a desk all day, or just want to deepen your practice, chair yoga is for you. If you can breathe, you can do chair yoga. Nancy will guide you through a 45 minute long practice where youโ€™ll learn several ways to practice yoga while seated at your desk, standing by your chair or traveling. Youโ€™ll also learn how to synchronize your moves with your breath. Experienced yogis are welcome, too.  
 

Socks must be worn at all times during this class.

Mokena Community Public Library District Card Holder - Priority Registration

Priority registration is available exclusively to Mokena library cardholders 72 hours before the scheduled program ensuring that Mokena library cardholders receive the first opportunity to explore and participate in our limited room programs. This is a new procedure for our high demand programs. Non-Mokena Community Public Library District Holders will be placed on a pending wait list until 72 hours prior to the program. If there are openings at that time the wait list will be transferred to the registered list in the order they were added to the wait list.

Join us for our new Monarch Book Club for children grades Kindergarten - 2nd. Each month we will read a different Monarch Award nominated from the 2024 list. We will read this month's picture book all together at the start of the program. We will then answer questions and discuss the book as a group. We will then have a craft and/or activity to do that goes along with the theme of the story we read together. We will have time for a snack as well.

Join Certified Personal Trainer, Nancy Richmond as she guides you through pilates exercises which will help develop core strength, posture, and balance. Come get messy outside at the Mokena Library! Bring your little ones to our Sensory Play and create Shaving Cream S'mores Creations. We will provide all materials. We will have aprons and plenty of wipes!
