As we near the start of the new year with fresh resolutions, we remind readers that, while the journey of reading is fun and rewarding for all ages, it is even more enjoyable when you share that journey with a friend or loved one.

This scratch art kit can help develop children’s visualization skills and creativity development while they sketch, draw, trace and create their personalized masterpieces.

Join others as they work on needle work, including knitting, crocheting, embroidery and any other needle work. Drop in and bring your supplies! Also, check out our yarn swap up by the mini-maker space; bring any good-condition yarn you don't need and swap it for something you'll use. No registration required.

If you're thinking that the pumpkins could use some spicing up, stop by the Mokena Library to paint and decorate a pumpkin. This is the only way you will get a confirmation email, be able to cancel and receive any updates, including cancellation of the program. Please arrive on time for the program. You can also cancel through your confirmation email. After 3 times of being marked absent without cancellation notice, we will be moving future registrations to the waitlist for two weeks. This is to accommodate as many patrons as possible due to limited space and popularity of our programs. Registration Required for Children's Programs (K-5th) Registration is required. Limit: 30 children Grades: K - 5th grade Please register each child's name only. We will also do a fun activity/craft and watch a short video while having a snack. Bring the whole family for a fun evening Storytime!
