Chair yoga is “Yoga for EveryBody”. If you have trouble getting down to the mat, sit at a desk all day, or just want to deepen your practice, chair yoga is for you. If you can breathe, you can do chair yoga. Nancy will guide you through a 45 minute long practice where you’ll learn several ways to practice yoga while seated at your desk, standing by your chair or traveling. You’ll also learn how to synchronize your moves with your breath. Experienced yogis are welcome, too.

Attendance Policy for Children's Programs

We highly recommend registering with an email address. This is the only way you will get a confirmation email, be able to cancel and receive any updates, including cancellation of the program. Please arrive on time for the program. If you are unable to attend the program, please cancel at least 2 hours before the program begins, by emailing youthservices@mokenalibrary.org or calling the Mokena Library at 708-479-9663 and canceling with a librarian. You can also cancel through your confirmation email. After 3 times of being marked absent without cancellation notice, we will be moving future registrations to the waitlist for two weeks. This is to accommodate as many patrons as possible due to limited space and popularity of our programs.

K1 Speed Go Kart Racing Waiver

This waiver must be completely filled out and signed by Monday, June 2nd. If you have failed to complete the waiver, your child will not be able to participate in the program.

We ask that a parent/guardian is present throughout the entire program on Tuesday, June 3rd from 3:00pm - 5:30pm. Each child will be measured and given a safety briefing promptly at 3:00pm. Please arrive on time. The children will begin racing at 3:30pm. Races will end by 5:30pm. Click here to complete the waiver.

You will receive a message directly after completing the registering process asking you to proceed to the cashier. This is just a quirk of K1 Speed's waiver process. You have not done anything wrong. You will have correctly completed their waiver.

If there are openings at that time the wait list will be transferred to the registered list in the order they were added to the wait list.

Waiver Required

This program will require a signed waiver to participate.

Please print out or visit the library to pick one up.

Turn in completed waiver to the library prior to program start.

Waivers can be found here.
