DESCRIPTION:FOR GRADES 6 - 12: LIMIT 8This two session program guides part
 icipants through creating their own countertop herb garden from start to f
 inish. In session one, participants will build and paint a custom planter 
 designed to fit easily on a kitchen counter or sunny windowsill. In sessio
 n two, participants will add soil, plant the seeds of the herbs, learn how
  to care for their plants, and learn how to harvest them once they are est
 ablished. Everyone will also receive a small recipe packet that uses the h
 erbs they are growing.Participants must attend session one in order to tak
 e part in session two, as the planter created in the first session is requ
 ired for planting. This program is designed for anyone who enjoys hands on
  projects and wants to bring fresh herbs into their home.
