Physical Activity

By enrolling in this class, you affirm that you and/or your child are physically capable and willing to participate, understanding that any physical activity may carry a risk of injury. Participants of all ages may take breaks as needed during the session. It is your responsibility to consult with a healthcare professional regarding any past or present injuries, illnesses, health conditions, or medications that may affect your participation.

By participating, you acknowledge and accept all risks associated with such activities, assuming responsibility for any resulting injuries or illnesses. The Mokena Community Public Library, along with its officers, employees, trustees, and agents, shall not be held liable for any claims, suits, or damages arising from participation in these activities, and you agree to release them from any such liability.

Plan to be outside for the program you're registering for. We will do the program rain or shine. The program may be moved indoors to our downstairs Program Room. We will watch the weather for any chances of severe weather conditions, if that is the case, you will be notified of cancellation or a rain date rescheduling of this program. 

Dress appropriately for outdoor programs. Please bring your sunscreen. We will have water bottles available as well. 

Please arrive on time for the program. Space is limited so registration is suggested for all programs, regular or limited, unless otherwise noted. Go to our website, call the library at 708-479-9663 or visit the Customer Service Desk to register. If you are registered for a program that you cannot attend, please call at least 24 hours in advance to cancel. You may cancel through your confirmation email, email the     library at programs@mokenalibrary.org or call 708-479-9663. Given the popularity of our limited programs, patrons, who do not cancel their registration 24 hours prior to the event will be considered “No Shows”. If a patron is considered a “No Show” for three limited programs then he, she, or they may be unable to register for future events and will instead be placed on the waitlist.

A limited program is a program that has limited space or limited supplies available.

This is to accommodate as many patrons as possible due to limited space and popularity of our programs.
