Jr. High: Retro Video Game Challenge invites twelve 6th–8th graders to test their skills against our librarians, each of whom has chosen a few classic titles from the Nintendo Switch Online service to champion. Participants will face off against every librarian in a rotation of short matches featuring retro favorites such as Balloon Fight, Excite Bike Vs., Mario Bros. (not Super Mario Bros.; there is a difference), and Dr. Mario.

Every participant receives one raffle ticket just for taking part, and each win earns an additional raffle ticket for a chance to win a $100 Amazon Gift Certificate. Freshly popped popcorn will be served for players and spectators to enjoy while the challenges unfold.
