Calling all Jr. High readers! Our book club will dive into a variety of exciting reads, from timeless classics to the latest modern releases. We’ll explore different genres, including poetry and even some Shakespeare... maybe. Whether you’re a seasoned reader or just starting out, there’s something for everyone. Come share your thoughts, make new friends, and discover the joy of reading together.

Beginning on Friday, January 23rd, registrants can come to the library to pick up their copy of The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett. The book discussion will be on Thursday, February 26th at 4:00pm. Readers that participated in the Cinder discussion will receive priority registration and will receive a copy of the book at the discussion.

Follow young Mary Lennox as she embarks on a captivating journey that will unlock the secrets of her own heart and the hidden wonders of a long-forgotten garden. As Mary explores the magical realm tucked away within the walls of Misselthwaite Manor, she unearths not only vibrant flowers and lush greenery, but also the key to her own healing and happiness.

With the help of her newfound friends, including the spirited Dickon and the remarkably talented Colin, Mary learns to nurture both the garden and the fragile bonds of trust and friendship. Together, they breathe life into the barren landscape, uncovering the beauty and joy that can be found even in the most desolate places.
