Only those that have registered for Jr. High Book Club (Book Pick-Up) will be allowed to participate in this discussion. That means participants need to have registered for and picked up their copy of The Island of Blue Dolphins by Scott O'Dell prior to this discussion.

"Island of the Blue Dolphins" tells the story of Karana, a young Native American girl who is left alone on a remote island after her tribe leaves for the mainland. For 18 years, she learns to survive by herself, facing challenges like wild animals, isolation, and the harsh environment, while also forming unexpected friendships. The story is inspired by the true account of Juana Maria, the "Lone Woman of San Nicolas Island".
