What is punch needle embroidery? Punch needle embroidery is a versatile fiber art technique that uses a hollow needle to create textured, looped designs by pushing yarn or thread through a taut fabric (usually monk's cloth). Working from the back, it creates a cozy, tufted, rug-like appearance on the front. It is a fast, beginner-friendly, and relaxing craft ideal for making rugs, pillows, and wall hangings.
Participants will make cozy, textured pieces while learning a fun new craft. They will be able to choose from six different designs: a green sea turtle, an owl, a polar bear, a butterfly, a corgi, and a highland cow. There will be two of each design, and designs will be distributed by lottery: a random wheel of names will be used to call participants up one by one to choose their design.
