H. P. Lovecraft's observation (from his essay, "Supernatural Horror in Literature") is that "The oldest and strongest emotion of mankind is fear, and the strongest kind of fear is fear of the unknown." Imagine then, living during the 1920's. The Roaring Twenties! A period in American history of dramatic social, economic and political change. For the first time, more Americans lived in cities than on farms. More and more of the world's "unknowns" were being discovered. The unfortunate lesson for some was that some things are better left lost to time.

Join us for Call of Cthulhu, a game where you and your group will investigate the unimaginable and indescribable horrors conjured up by greedy people seeking otherworldly power, sinister cults driven to obtain knowledge that enables their supremacy over the planet, and of eldritch beings who view humanity the way humanity views ants.

We will play through a one-shot adventure meant to be an introduction to the world of Call of Cthulhu and its game systems. So come ready to roll some dice and to shield yourself from the mind shattering Old Ones.

Call of Cthulhu is a horror fiction role-playing game based on H. P. Lovecraft's story of the same name and the associated Cthulhu Mythos. Call of Cthulhu is a slower-paced TTRPG with a heavy emphasis on story-telling and puzzle-solving through investigation (less focus on combat compared to other RPGs).
