Join us at the Mokena Library for a delightful Mother's Day celebration as we get creative with our Terra Cotta Pot Painting craft! Young artists will have the opportunity to express their love and appreciation for their mothers/mother figures by personalizing terra cotta pots with vibrant acrylic paint colors, heartfelt messages, and charming designs. We'll provide you with some examples to help inspire your designs. This hands-on activity fosters creativity while creating a meaningful gift that moms will cherish for years to come. Let's make this Mother's Day extra special with a touch of artistic love!
We will provide all of the materials for each child registered. Come prepared to get messy. Acrylic paint can stain clothes, so come prepared. We will have plastic smocks available as well. Registration includes one terra cotta pot to paint using our assortment of acrylic paints. We will also include dirt and a flower to plant in your pot, so the perfect gift is ready for mom in time for Mother's Day!
We highly recommend registering with an email address. This is the only way you will get a confirmation email, be able to cancel and receive any updates, including cancellation of the program. Please arrive on time for the program. If you are unable to attend the program, please cancel at least 2 hours before the program begins, by emailing youthservices@mokena.lib.il.us or calling the Mokena Library at 708-479-9663 and canceling with a librarian. You can also cancel through your confirmation email. After 3 times of being marked absent without cancellation notice, we will be moving future registrations to the waitlist for two weeks. This is to accommodate as many patrons as possible due to limited space and popularity of our programs.

We will provide each child with a snack and drink during this fun after school program. If your child has any food allergies, please provide that information into the text box while registering for the program. We want to accommodate everyone and will have a healthy alternative snack for them.
