Event Details
Are your garden beds becoming unmanageable and not sure what to do? Join us for our first fall plant swap. Patrons will have the opportunity to share & exchange their perennials and bulbs with other local gardeners. Dividing plants can keep your landscape more manageable and allow the plants to bloom stronger. Fall happens to be the ideal time. Planting new transplants in the fall allow them to settle before going dormant as winter arrives.
1:30-2:30pm Patrons with plants have the first opportunity to the share their dividings.
2:30-3pm If there are remaining "donated" plants, patrons without a plant are welcomed to the donations.
Ideal plants include: bulbs, daylilies, black eyed susans, hostas, spiderworts, any perennial. Never divided a perennial before? You can visit https://thisismygarden.com/2018/08/divide-perennials/ for helpful tips about the process. Be sure to label plants, planting instructions are helpful and bring in a container you are willing to part with.
