Embark on a literary adventure at our library event where kids can bring their favorite book characters to life! Let your imagination soar as you step into the shoes of iconic heroes, heroines, and fantastical creatures from the pages of literature. From classic tales to modern adventures, our library will be a playground of imagination where every costume tells a story. Join us for fun, creativity, and literary magic!
We'll have an interactive Storytime based on the characters who come to the event. We'll have games and crafts available as well. So, join us for a fun one-of-a-kind event! There are so many children's book characters to choose from. Whether you're a fan of newer characters like Peppa Pig, Pete the Cat, or Paw Patrol, or you're a fan of classic characters like Peter Pan, Little Red Riding, Cinderella or the Little Mermaid, we can't wait to see what you dress up as!

We highly recommend registering with an email address. This is the only way you will get a confirmation email, be able to cancel and receive any updates, including cancellation of the program. Please arrive on time for the program. If you are unable to attend the program, please cancel at least 2 hours before the program begins, by emailing youthservices@mokena.lib.il.us or calling the Mokena Library at 708-479-9663 and canceling with a librarian. You can also cancel through your confirmation email. After 3 times of being marked absent without cancellation notice, we will be moving future registrations to the waitlist for two weeks. This is to accommodate as many patrons as possible due to limited space and popularity of our programs.
